Karafun.com is probably the most comprehensive karaoke site on the net. They offer tons of downloads in many file formats, and update their song library regularly. Also they offer free downloadable software that allows you to create your own karaoke videos out of music that you already own.

Here's another decent music and karaoke file download site. Again they seem to update their library on a regular basis.
There are other sites out there, but I have found they make you fill out long registration forms and the return to you is SPAM in your inbox, and not many good song picks.
DO WHAT I DO – MAKE YOUR OWN FREE KARAOKE SONGS WITH iKARAOKE
While the above download sites are great, I still think the best option is to create your own free karaoke songs. I have an iPod Touch which doubles as a karaoke machine by using the free iKaraoke software from griffintechnology.com.
It's super easy to use, all you do is import your MP3 file, then copy/paste the lyrics and use the super easy interface to create and export your Karaoke file. You can find lyrics to tons of songs at www.stlyrics.com.

If you do have an iPod Video or iPod Touch, Griffin does have a cool microphone add-on that turns your iPod into a Karaoke machine. The coolest thing about it is that you can play it over your home stereo or over your car speakers for Karaoke fun on long trips :). Check it out here.
